NIRF Overview

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the MHRD and launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th September 2015.

This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived at by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. The parameters broadly cover Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practices,Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception.

India Rankings - 2016 based on this framework were released on 4th April 2016.

For India Rankings - 2017, the main ranking parameters remain the same. However, there are a few significant changes in a few sub-parameters. Also, this year every large institution will be given a common overall rank as well as a discipline specific rank as applicable. Details are in the Ranking Document available at

Siddharth Arts, Commerce & Science College is a grant in aid, Co-educational Minority status college and affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad (MS). The college is recognized by UGC under 2F and 12 B. The college is established by Founder President Hon'ble J.L.Mhaske, in 1991. Hon'bl Dr. Kakade A.A. the Principal of college is running the institution with full vision of excellence and global competition and to cater the need of ruler area. (NAAC) IQAC is established in 2004 for sustaining & imparting quality education the college under the guidance of Dr. Kakade A.A.. The college is looking forward to attain academic excellence and fulfill its core commitments & to make it the premier institution of higher education in this region which is comparatively backward in Maharashtra State.

The mission of college is "To make lifelong change into the lives of rural & underprivileged girl's and boys through quality education". The Goal of College is "to educate, engage and empower rural girls and boys, & to mould the students as India's future leaders in various field of society and to create good citizen having national integration, equity and scientific temper & to promote and motivate such citizen beyond the text books"

For the fulfillment of above stated mission and goals the institution focuses on multi skill development such as computer skills, use of ICT, promoting community orientation and value education in all UG programmes. The college also provides adequate academic flexibility and diversity to the students. The demands of current scenario in higher education are being fulfilled by advanced learnring facilities such as internet service, guidance for higher studies, Career counseling cell, IQAC, NSS, Sports dept. Library and Labs & English Language Lab.
